Montana Alberta Tie Ltd.

Senior Vice President, Project Development - David Axford

David Axford joined Tonbridge Power Inc. in January 2009 as Senior Vice President, Project Development. He leads the completion of the Montana Alberta Tie project and will play a similar role in future projects to be undertaken by Tonbridge Power Inc. David has many years of experience as a senior executive in the chemicals and power businesses in Alberta, Ontario and Dubai. He began his professional career in 1981 with CIL Inc. as a process engineer and held positions of increasing responsibility leading to Operations Superintendent. In 1993, David joined Nexen Inc. where he served in a number of capacities including operations and plant management, procurement, and power marketing. Most recently he was Managing Director of DENEX, a joint venture between Nexen Marketing International and Dubai Energy.

David was a member of the Association of Major Power Consumers of Ontario from 1997-2003; a member of the board of directors of Enwin Utilities from 1999 to 2007; and a member and past vice-chair of the Association of Independent Power Producers of Alberta from 2002 to 2007. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering as well as an MBA.

Vice President, Regulatory - Bob Williams

Bob Williams is Vice President, Regulatory at Montana Alberta Tie Ltd where he led the initiative to secure all regulatory approvals necessary for the first 230 kV merchant international power transmission line between Alberta and Montana. He is also responsible for land administration at the company.

Bob was previously Senior Vice President, Operations at Mercury Electric where he was responsible for the development and operation of the corporation's independent power production facilities. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Independent Power Producers Society of Alberta (IPPSA) since 1994 and is past Chairman of the Board. Bob has represented IPPSA on a number of policy, tariff and technical initiatives to develop a competitive electricity marketplace.

A professional engineer with over 30 years experience in the electric energy industry, Bob has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the University of Calgary.

Vice President and Project Controller – Farhana Janmohamed

Farhana Janmohamed has been providing financial expertise for over 15 years. Her expertise in administering and managing financial relationships with governmental bodies and industry partners has benefited a broad range of projects. In addition to Canada and the United States, Farhana has worked in Guatemala, Chile and Brazil, where she was the Regional Controller for Veritas DGC. In Trinidad and Tobago she was the Finance Advisor for BHP Billiton. Farhana has successfully participated in many large contract negotiations and has been a critical member of multidisciplinary teams cultivating a business partnering environment.

Farhana has also been an Executive regional member of the Girl Guides of Canada and has volunteered with the Red Cross and Junior Achievement.

Farhana earned her Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation in 1999 from the Society of Management Accountants of Alberta.

Chief Executive Officer - Johan van't Hof

Johan van't Hof began his career in corporate finance and investigations at the Ontario Securities Commission. Following that, he was a corporate finance partner (in charge of the national office) with Grant Thornton from 1983 until 1991. Subsequently he was a partner and managing director of Project Finance & Privatization for PriceWaterhouseCoopers Securities Inc. In that role, he developed extensive experience in both the transportation energy and utility sectors. From 2001 to 2003, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Director of a North American electronics auto parts manufacturer before joining Tonbridge.

Johan van't Hof is a guest lecturer at the University of Toronto and has also taught at the University of Waterloo and the Ontario Institute of Chartered Accountants. He is the past president for the MBA Alumni Association at the University of Toronto and has given several conference presentations at the Canadian Council for Public Private Partnerships. He is a board member of the Toronto Community Care Access Centre as well as chair of the Audit Committee and director of Crystallex Corporation, a TSX- and AMEX-listed company.

Johan’s education includes the completion of the Project Finance Program at the Amsterdam Institute of Finance and his Chartered Accountant designation. He received his Bachelor of Commerce and MBA in finance from the University of Toronto.

Chief Operating Officer - Robert van Beers

Robert van Beers is Chief Operating Officer and Director of MATL and its parent, Tonbridge Power Inc. He has more than 20 years of international experience in the management, operations, regulation and financing of water and power projects.

Robert was Energy Practice Leader for CRA International in Canada until 2004. Prior to that, he was Director of Energy M&A Strategy with PricewaterhouseCoopers. Robert has led the deal strategy on large transactions in utilities; energy retailing; transmission; utility privatization and in financial and regulatory restructuring; working with clients from the world’s largest global energy (oil, gas and electricity) companies to regional utilities and start-up energy and infrastructure businesses.

Robert recently became one of Canada's first Accredited Corporate Directors after completing the Rotman School/Institute of Corporate Directors' College. He has an Honours Bachelor’s degree of Economics and Sociology and a Master's degree in Public Administration from Queen's University. He also graduated from the Corporate Financial Strategy program at INSEAD.
